TotallyNewThinking Launches New SUSXL Roundtable Discussion Series in London
TotallyNewThinking successfully launched the first of its monthly Sustainability Leaders Roundtable-Dinners at the Institute of Chartered Accountants at One Moorgate Place, London, Thursday 29th June 2023.
It was a very vibrant and frank four-hour discussion under Chatham House rules (non-disclosure) with sustainability representatives of Meta, BT, Canon, Sika, Volta Trucks, Greencore, PwC, SSP, Boston Consulting Group, LSEG, Silverstone Circuits, Balder Capital, The Green Link, and many other providing a wealth of cross-sector expertise, experiences, and opinions in how we move corporate sustainability whole-heartedly forward.
There was vigorous debate around:
- The changing roles of Corporate Sustainability Leaders
- Current and impending legislation
- Sustainability reporting and disclosure hurdles
- Communication, messaging and the court of public opinion
- Driving internal buy-in and meaningful culture change
- Communication/PR versus actual systemic change
- The carrot-vs-stick approach to information gathering by regulators
- Collaboration and moving corporate sustainability forward with sincerity
